We’ve all seen it before.  A reckless driver barrels through a residential street filled with kids and pets playing. Or we’ve been cut off by a dangerous driver on the freeway. We usually grumble about “bad drivers” and wish there was something we could do to make our roads safer.

When my father was passed by a teenage driver going 60 MPH in his residential neighborhood, I decided it was time to take action and put driver accountability to the forefront.  I created the National Driver Accountability Program (NDAP) with the goal of using the latest technology to make driver reporting fully automated and affordable enough to be used on a wide scale.

About Us

NDAP® is a system that relies on the driving public to call in on a toll free number found on a sticker placed on the back of your vehicle in order to report mechanical or driver issues.

What sets this system apart is the way we’ve integrated the latest voice recognition and internet technologies to make this process automated and seamless. Rather than using a call center full of telephone operators (and all the overhead it takes to support a system like that), calls to NDAP are answered by an automatic computer attendant that handles your calls quickly and effectively.

You speak the characters of the unique ID found on the sticker and leave your message then hang up. That’s it. No lengthy interrogation process, no wondering if your message is being filtered or if the meaning is intact.

Immediately after the message is left, the NDAP automatic attendant logs the call time, caller’s phone number (using the ANI system) as well as the caller's message and places this information into the Web system for future reference and follow-up.

Within seconds of the caller hanging up, the system then contacts by phone (optional) and email the person(s) responsible for the vehicle in order to listen to the reported message.

Included in this email is the caller’s message which is attached as a .wav file for easy playback as well as the caller’s phone number and reported sticker ID.

The responsible party can then access the NDAP website to associate the message with a specific driver, and build up a driver history. Any steps taken to manage driver behavior can be tracked through the NDAP site, and reports can be generated.

There is a playback feature which allows the user to replay the message remote from their cell phone by keying in their company pin number and the sticker ID reported.
